Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting potential volunteer candidates, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of volunteer services in conjunction with the volunteer program’s framework.
Primary Duties
- Take a primary role in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation of volunteer services.
- Identify and engage potential volunteer candidates through recruitment activities.
- Responsible for screening, orientation, training, placement and evaluation of all potential volunteers.
- Create and monitor volunteer schedules and ensure ongoing training is provided.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate program records, ensure volunteer program manuals are kept up to date, complete monthly statistics/reports and conduct yearly program evaluation through surveys.
- Attend recruitment fairs when necessary.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and maintain strong working relationships with staff, volunteers, and clients, ability to work with a diverse client population, intermediate computer skills with MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma with 2 to 5 year related volunteer management experience. Volunteer management certificate considered an asset.

Practicum Opportunities
If you looking for an exciting and rewarding practicum experience. Elements has lots to offer you.
1. Social Work Practicum
A comprehensive practicum placement for social work students at either the diploma or BSW levels is offered that includes: intake assessments, case management, and an opportunity to participate in group facilitation.
Practicum students are supervised by a team of registered social workers and given the opportunity to observe and participate in the essential work performed by our dedicated staff.
